Easy to set up and works well with my Ring doorbell. The chime is loud enough to hear throughout the house, and the different sound options are convenient. A simple addition that makes alerts much easier to notice.
It’s an ordinary Ring chime. What I’m really reviewing is Ring’s customer service. I kept getting conflicting messages about why it wouldn’t work with my existing Ring wired doorbell, when my previous chime up and died of extreme old age. It took 20 minutes holding to get to a human (routine) but when I did, she figured it right out, walked me through it, never once sounded like she thought I was an idiot. The chime is perfect now, plugs in, well worth the moderate price. I’m very happy with Ring products, used with two houses now, if I ever move again I’ll buy again. Buyers are happy when I include the setup in the sale.
These are fantastic and so easy to set up. One hint, I made sure that I was using our home Wi-Fi, which made it so much easier. They sound great and have adjustable volume, etc. This is so much easier than getting our 30+ year-old hardwireddoorbells to work with our knew ring pro.
Purchased this when I decided to upgrade to a new Ring doorbell, and I really like the compact, the design is sleek, and it’s quick and responsive. I live in a 3 story row house and, prior to swapping to this plug in chime, there was no issue hearing it clearly from all three floors. This new chime presented a new challenge as, even at the highest volume, it was very difficult to hear from the third floor despite it being plugged in on the second floor. The outlet is directly below the original chime box, so I didn’t think there would be an issue with the sound reaching all areas of the house. I wound up switching to different outlets throughout the second floor trying to get it in the perfect spot to “bounce” the sound upstairs. I did find an outlet that was in an area that made it possible to hear the chime on the third floor, BUT it was very faint up there and very loud in the room where it was plugged in - which happened to be my living room. The first night I had it, I was on the sofa minding my own business, and someone rang the doorbell and the chime was so loud I jumped off the couch and nearly peed myself. I immediately turned down the volume and just purchased a second chime to go on the third floor. It’s not a huge deal but, between the extra chime and all the additional Ring devices (including WiFi extenders), I feel like my house is a 24/7 WiFi and electricity eating machine. It would be nice if they included in the description that, while the chime is quite loud, one will not be enough to replace the previous chime for manu homes.
The Ring Chime was incredibly easy to set up-just plug it in, connect it through the Ring app, and it's ready to go in just a few minutes.It's so nice being able to hear doorbell notifications from anywhere in the house, especially in rooms where I might not hear the doorbell itself or my phone. The sound is clear, the volume is adjustable, and there are several chime tones to choose from.It works seamlessly with our Ring doorbell and has been completely reliable. I also like that it's compact and doesn't take up much space in the outlet.If you already have a Ring doorbell or security camera, I highly recommend adding a Ring Chime. It's an inexpensive upgrade that makes the whole system much more convenient and ensures you never miss a visitor or delivery.
I'm very happy with this Ring Chime. It was affordable, compact, and not bulky, making it easy to place anywhere in my home. The volume is loud enough to clearly hear the doorbell throughout the house, and I love that you can customize the alert sounds. I currently have it set to the dog barking sound, which lets me know right away when someone is near the door.
This is a replacement for my older Ring chime, and they’ve improved these a lot. Setup is easier, the volume is louder, and I love having so many chime options to pick from. I have multiple chimes throughout the house and this one ties everything together perfectly.
